Meet Fernando and Brenda.
Fernando ​had been working as a chef for a restaurant on Isla Mujeres for many years before he adventured into building a restaurant of his own. He envisioned a restaurant with a bespoke atmosphere that embodies the soul of Isla Mujeres - peaceful island breezes surrounded by lush tropical vegetation.

With her background in marketing and business administration, Brenda helped to turn this dream into North Garden Cafe. Fernando and Brenda were married in 2011 and have been building their restaurant business together ever since.
​
Established in 2017, North Garden began serving breakfast and lunch to tourists and local patrons alike. It quickly became a hotspot because of its family atmosphere, friendly staff, beautiful location and fresh food.

In 2018, North Garden expanded to a second level and began serving dinner with a curated menu of fresh, flavorful dishes.

Great place to eat! Excellent food and better prices than places in the Main Street or on the beach :) Sad i only found it on my last day, great vibes

This is just a great experience for breakfast. Setting is garden like. Bloody Mary’s are excellent. There other restaurant Grill Garden is a couple doors down and equally great!

Best food and atmosphere on the island. We always make North Garden our first and last stop of the trip. A beautiful outside (yet covered) atmosphere is accompanied by friendly staff and, frankly, wonderful food. The owners work at the restaurant, and the chefs are curated from other thriving restaurants on the island.
